About us
The goal of the Valley Voices Children's Choir is to inspire children, regardless of future occupation, to get involved in the arts.

Valley Voices has been making music in our community for over 65 years. The adult community choir is comprised entirely of volunteer singers who share a passion for music. Deanna Floe Goranson began the Valley Voices Children's Choir in 2015 to provide musical opportunities for youth as well. The kids not only get to experience the joy of being in a choir, but learn about hard work, being part of a team, and the fundamentals of music reading and performance.

Deanna Goranson, director of the choir, holds a degree in music education from Nebraska Wesleyan University and has taught music, choir, and voice at both the elementary and collegiate level.

Valley Voices Children's Choir is non-auditioned and open to all singers 3rd-8th grade with and unchanged voice.

Rehearsals are Tuesdays 5:15-6:30pm at Summit Christian College in Gering, NE. Tuition is $25 per semester per student, but there may be additional fees in the event of travel or needed apparel.
